I have visited my neighborhood McDonald's more than usual lately. The reason is clear. I am obsessed with the Wizard of Oz dolls in the Happy Meals.

I recently got my favorite doll:

I love the Munchkins, especially the Lollipop Guild boys. I am so happy to have this little fellow. Ever since I saw The Wizard of Oz I have been in love with the Munchkins. I love the Lollipop Guild, but my favorite Munchkin isn't a doll---yet. He's this funny guy:

The coroner is wonderful! His song was perfection:

"As Coroner, I must aver
I thoroughly examined her.
And she is not only merely dead
She's really most sincerely dead."

His hat is so cool!

I also have some of the dolls from the dark side of Oz:

You can't tell from this picture, but the Wicked Witch of the West's eyes are green!

Over the years I have amassed a nice little grouping of these tiny Madame Alexander dolls. I have stuffed them into a basket--need to get a bigger basket--and put them in a cabinet. My son thinks they're creepy.

They do sort of look like those dolls in horror movies who come to life and in a creepy voice say, "Come play with me...come play with me..." On the second hand I still like them. It's a lot of Happy Meals. I order, now don't get grossed out, a cheeseburger Happy Meal hold the meat. I don't eat beef or pork, and like my burgers burgerless. I like the onion slivers, pickles, mustard, and ketchup on bread. But I like the dolls better--I don't think there's a cure for what I have ;)
