I have been in the de-stashing mood. My shelves are just sagging with a huge collection of vintage books and other assorted ephemera. I finally had to roll up my shirtsleeves and let some of it go. I now have room on my once sagging shelves and I have filled my etsy shop to the brim with lots of vintage goodies for creative projects!
I know some crafty person out there could use all of this whimsical goodness!
Tonight as I decompress from helping out at our church's fall festival volunteering every evening this week and most of today, I was thrilled to see one of my favorite movies on TV:
"Paper Moon" is directed by Peter Bogdanovich and stars Tatum O'Neal and her father, Ryan O'Neal. It's based on the wonderful book Addie Pray by Joe David Brown. Tatum won an Oscar for her performance, the yougest actress ever to do so. My favorite performance is by the late-great Madeline Kahn who plays Trixie Delight. The movie is in black and white even though it came out in 1973. It's supposed to take place during the 1930's. The sets are wonderful, the dialog is snappy, and the quirky and sometimes irreverent story will warm your heart. If you haven't seen "Paper Moon" do yourself a favor!
I'm going to go soak my weary feet! Hope the rest of your weekend is a relaxing one!~~~XXOO, Beth
