Yesterday, after the big rain came and went by Saturday night, we awoke to a crisp sunny day. I was overjoyed as it was the Day of the annual Sully Plantation Quilt Show and Sale! It is one of my favorite events and I always find wonderful vintage fabrics and notions at this sale! Come and join me in some of my favorite sights:
The grounds of Sully Plantation are dotted with tents over vendors with all sorts of goodies!
My first stop was this booth owned by the famous "Truffle Pigs!" I adore their creations and their wares. I always find the most wonderful buttons. Because the ground was damp, these sweet ladies wore polka dot rubber boots! CUTE! The lady in the bonnet is one of the interpreters. I think she wanted to take a break from her spinning wheel and shop!
Here are some of my favorite things I saw at the sale:
Vintage stuffed dogs.
Lots and lots of fabric.
My favorite place to dig were these boxes of vintage fabric scraps for a dollar each! I dug and dug and found lots of goodies!
I can't wait to use this fabulous fabric and buttons!
ANNOUNCEMENT: I will be listing a whole lot of new goodies in my etsy shop on tuesday morning, Sept. 9th in conjunction with the newsstand launch of the Oct/Nov issue of Mary Englebriet Home Companion. I am thrilled to be included in an etsy ad in that issue! If you have a minute, please stop by my shop!~~~XXOO, Beth
