Good Evening, Blogland Friends!~~~
The bright sunny day today inspired me to take a few more photos...OK, a lot more photos...of our Christmas decorations. And later, I took a few as the sun was disappearing behind the trees. I hope you like our Holiday House, well, actually it's just the living room, because that's where holiday magic happens in our little house near Washington, DC...
Here is one view of our living room. And, yes, that is a large Easter bunny in front of the fireplace screen. He's Mr. Hippity Hop and he stays up all year!
Here's another view facing the picture window. Now for a few details...
This fun pink feather tree resides by our front door. It is the Lucy Tree.
There are many different Lucy ornaments out there, but I decided to stick with collecting the ones made by Hallmark. I have them all, including Lucy as a ballerina at dance class. And...
Lucy trying to disguise herself so William Holden won't know she was the one who spilled pie on him, and Lucy stomping grapes in Italy. That is Elvis on top. Why not? The vintage ornaments on the tree were my grandmother's, and she had bright red hair just like Lucy!
Over the fireplace on the oval mirror is this wonderful sign created by the multi-talented and oh too sweet Jenny! It is my newest holiday acquisition and I love it!The chenille Santa and snowmaiden are riding vintage celluloid dogs on either side of the mirror--these pieces are heirloom pieces and I adore them!
I thrifted years ago a little gathering of pinecone people from Germany and Japan.
Jernnifer Murphy creations are at home with a Swedish girl, angel, and Andy Panda.
A Christmas Dreams angel by Nicole Sayer and a Santa by Tenna Flanner keep watch from their perch on top of the TV hutch.
As do these snowfolk by Dee Foust!
In the center of our coffee table is a cake stand resting on a vintage checker board. This wonderful crown I was so very lucky to win from Shabby FuFu this year holds a glittery Moravian star nestled in excelsior and surrounded by vintage German paper ball ornaments my mother bought many many years ago.
Beside the cake stand is this sweet little snowman candy container. I love his tiny wee nose!
I found this fun vintage arrangement at the thrift store for a whopping 49 cents! So Woolworth's Chic!
Here is a trio of wooden and ceramic snowmen. My mother gave me the wooden German "smoker". His curved arms are so cute!
A vintage wire flower pot holder now holds a quartet of plastic deer from my grandmother's house, and a fun vintage ceramic Santa wall decoration.
A pair of glittery stars decorats the door to the kitchen. I love how the silver one has tarnished!
Now, here are a few photos of our Holiday House in the evening...
Evening falls and the house gets darm and cozy...
The tree is all a-glow with many kinds of lights, big bulbs, bubble lights, and twinkle lights.
Plastic Santa greets the neighbors from the window...
...And the bubblelights give a colorful glow to the outside and inside too. That's our little Holiday tour. Many thanks to all of you in blogland who also have shared your holiday decor! Oh what FUN!~~~XXOO, Beth
