Hello, My Friends!~~~
OK, you are probably tired of hearing me complain about winter and wax poetic about spring. Well, I won't do that in this post...mostly. Lately, while I'm crafting, I have been watching Planet Green channel, in particular the show "Living With Ed." We don't live as green as Mr. Ed, but I'd like to think that we live as green as we can in my household, but of course we can always do more. One thing we do is we recycle every bit of paper we can. Here is the recycling bin that sits below my crafting desk:
But on the other hand, we do use paper towels and paper napkins. I know, naughty naughty. We will change, I promise.
In the spirit of Ed, Planet Green, and just wanting to try my hand at making a truly "green" craft, I made a wreath out of magazines, newspapers, and cardboard.
If you would like to make one of your own, please go to Vintage Indie. It's super simple and free and oh so green!
And speaking of green, I recently found these buttons at the local JoAnn's Fabrics:
They're a little pricey but I did get them at the half off sale. I like this idea. Those of us, and there are lots and lots of you all out there, who use thrifted finds in our lives, are going green. I mostly use vintage buttons in my creations, but it is nice to see these recycled ones.~~~So, have fun, and show your green!~~~XXOO, Beth
