Hello, My Friends!~~
Well, Suzy and I returned late Saturday from the Route 127 World's Longest Yard Sale! What a wonderful time! Two days of solid shopping in a lovely part of Tennessee and Kentucky. The scenery was gorgeous, the food was delicious regional favorites like fried pie and BBQ, and the people were friendly and fun to visit if only for a minute or two! Suzy and I will be posting photos and text about our journey on The World's Longest Yard Sale Project blog, and I invite you to stop by there periodically and see some of our favorite scenes and memories!
But as for this post I am delighted to show you the "booty" I brought home!
Here is my dining room table covered with fun goodies! This is part of my haul and I'll show you the rest a little farther into this post, but for now here are some details of the table's bounty.
Most of the sale we encountered were actual yard sales. So I got pretty good deals!
When I saw color on a table at a yard sale I was drawn to it!
And of course I found plastic birthday candle holders!
These chalkware bluebird hooks were a favorite find and will probably end up in my bathroom.
Suzy spotted this wiener dog memo pad holder and said: "This just screams Beth." I agree! Thanks, Suzy!
I bought this plastic gourd bird house from an Amish gentleman in his barn.
This duro decal box just called to me! Check out these fab graphics...
Here is a close up! I am going to use it for ribbon storage in my studio! I'll show you after I place in my studio.
I already have one chalkware squirrel, and this fellow will be a good friend for him!
On the way home we stopped at a fabulous antique store in Virginia, west of Charlottesville, where I scored 97 vintage horse show ribbons!
I use these in my crafts and was thrilled to find such a big stash!
Well, that is my haul from the WLYS! I found goodies for our home, for my crafts, and for YOU! I will be listing new items in Dime Store Chic over the next week or so and perhaps you will find a goodie for yourself! I buy at reasonable prices and make modest mark ups for my etsy friends who stop by my shop! And I just am so excited to get busy on new creations with some of my new goodies! Ahh...inspiration!~~~XXOO, Beth
