Hello, My Friends!~~
I love vintage troll dolls. When I was five I got my first troll at Easter. My mom always found the coolest unusual toys for me. I was a tomboy and didn't like to play with traditional dolls and that was an issue for my mom as she loved dolls as a little girl. I preferred coloring books and building toys. She saw trolls in the store and on a whim got me one. It ended up in my Easter basket. It was love at first sight. Later I was gifted with the troll cave and more dolls. I still have that read-haired troll although he/she has less hair now. I combed it a lot!
Here are some photos of me at age five with my little brother on Easter. We were visiting my grandmother and as you can see from my squinting it was a very sunny day. I hated posing for photos.
Still do. But I really hate posing for photos with the sun in my eyes. That troll was being squeezed in my little fist as I posed. I think that's a buttercup flower in my other hand. I was probably itching to run around my grandmother's big yard.
In the photo above you can see a store across the street. It was a dime store and my grandmother would hold my hand as we crossed the street to go there. It was my very favorite dime store and I'm so sorry it no longer exists.
So my love for trolls goes back pretty far. If you love trolls like I do, especially springtime trolls, you might like these spring goodies in Dime Store Chic.
Thanks for reading this little piece of nostalgia. Spring will be here soon. So get ready to squint in all of these sunny photos!
