Is It Spring Yet?

Hello, My Friends!~~

 

My goodness, it's cold out there! Hubby and me are heading very far south in mid-February to do some birding and visit good friends. We will return at the beginning of March. Maybe winter will be over then?

Dime Store Chic will be open during that time while I'm away but orders will go out the first week of March. In the meantime, I'm staying warm and cozy in the studio crafting LOTS, and I mean, LOTS of vintage Easter cheer! These one-of-a-kind goodies will be available in the shop early March (date TBA)!

A Wintertime Holiday and Winter Wonderland

Hello, My Friends!~~

My studio is in the basement of our 1950's house. I have one little window that I can open to let in fresh air and bird song as the feeders are not too far away in the back yard. Today I'm only opening the window to let you see the weather outside. Wet, heavy snow. Lots of it. But oh so pretty.

 

Valentine's Day, like Christmas, is a winter holiday. I have to remind myself of that.

I also want to let you that any orders for the vintage Love Day cheer in Dime Store Chic placed AFTER Wednesday, January 5th will be shipped out on Tuesday, January 18th.

Mr. Dime Store Chic and I are heading out to do some coastal winter birding in North Carolina. I've added a photo I took in winter 2020 of a Common Eider seen just off shore in the Atlantic Ocean. It's great to see the shorebirds and waterfowl that spend winter down here!
